Ghazi says: Great way to store your helmet

    Permanently Attached Helmet Lock

The all new HelmetSecure™ lock is revolutionizing the way motorcycle enthusiasts travel.

The HelmetSecure lock's quality engineered design offers:

    • Freedom from carrying your helmet with you
    • Security that beats D-ring locks
    • Safety through not carrying a chain or U-lock
    • Convenience in a compact, pre-coiled cable

Designed to deter theft of your helmet, the HelmetSecure lock provides a permanent, readily-available security solution.

The HelmetSecure lock was developed after we realized that there was a genuine need for a more convenient and secure means of leaving your helmet on your bike. Currently many bikers would rather carry their helmet than rely on D-rings locks or cumbersome cable locks. The HelmetSecure lock is a new patent-pending lock for full-face and open-face helmets that allows bikers to more confidently leave their helmet on their cruiser, standard, touring or sportbike.

    Lock It and Leave It

The HelmetSecure lock attaches permanently to a round handlebar or crashbar (cruisers & standards) or triple clamp stem nut (sportbikes), so you only need to fit it once. After that, the lock is always available for use, without having to carry it or store it. The HelmetSecure lock incorporates an integral, pre-coiled steel cable to go through the face of the helmet or D-ring and back into the lock. If you have the key, you can unbolt the lock from the handlebar.

Our design allows that the bolts that secure the lock to the handlebar/triple clamp become inaccessible when the cable is locked - so the locking mechanism not only locks the cable, but also prevents the lock itself from being removed from the bike.

Locking your helmet to the center of your handlebar or triple clamp means that the helmet rests high on the bike, away from dirty/hot exhausts, and usually upright so that any rain will not fall into it.

We supply the Classic HelmetSecure lock with two rubber inserts so that it can be fitted, as standard, to the commonly-sized handlebars and crashbars: 7/8", 1" and 1 1/4" in diameter. We also include an Allen/Hex key - no other tools are needed.

The Classic HelmetSecure lock is finished in OEM-style bright chrome or matt black so that it fits the look of custom, cruiser, touring and standard bikes, including Harley Davidson, Victory, Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki etc.

The HelmetSecure™ Classic lock is permanently and easily attached to a motorcycle's handlebar or crashbar and secures the helmet by means of a 15" cable that loops through the face of the helmet or D-ring. The cable is pre-coiled and stores securely in an integral frame when not in use.

The HelmetSecure Classic lock attaches to 7/8", 1" and 1 1/4" handlebars and comes in a polished chrome finish or matt black to match your motorcycle.

Please note that the lock unit is 1 5/16" wide at its widest point, and extends 3 1/4" forward from the center of the handlebar. Please check, before ordering, that there is sufficient room on your bike to fit the lock. If you have any questions, please call us.

    HelmetSecure Classic Installation Diagram

Please note the following when installing your HelmetSecure Classic lock:

    • Do not install and use the lock unless it fits tightly and securely to the handlebar.
    • Position the lock toward the center line of the motorcycle. The closer to the center, the less likely that the weight of the lock will affect the handling of the motorcycle.
    • Position the lock where it will not interfere with any working part of the motorcycle.
    • Test your HelmetSecure lock once in position. Move the bars to full lock in each direction to check that you have chosen a location for the lock that will not affect the safe operation of the motorcycle under all conditions. If you have any doubt about the safety of your installation, consult a qualified mechanic for advice before proceeding.
    • Always lock your HelmetSecure lock with the cable tightly coiled when riding the motorcycle.
    • Never ride the motorcycle with a helmet locked to your HelmetSecure lock.
    • Failure to follow these instructions may impair the proper functioning and safe use of the motorcycle and may result indamage, injury or death.

    What is HelmetSecure™?

The HelmetSecure™ lock is an innovative, patent-pending motorcycle helmet lock that attaches to your handlebar, crashbar or triple clamp, giving you freedom, security, safety and convenience. The HelmetSecure lock is a first-of-its-kind lock that attaches permanently to your bike and features a 15" steel cable. The lock can be unbolted from the bike if you first unlock it.

What makes HelmetSecure different than other locks?

The HelmetSecure lock is the first to create a motorcycle helmet lock which permanently attaches to your handlebar, crossbar or triple clamp. As the lock is permanently attached to the bike it is always available. In addition, HelmetSecure does not widen the motorcycle and holds the helmet high on the forks away from dirt and hot exhaust. The lock can be unbolted from the bike if you first unlock it.

    How much does HelmetSecure cost?

The HelmetSecure Classic helmet lock costs $59.99, plus shipping. The Sportbike lock costs $79.99 plus shipping. If the lock does not meet your satisfaction, we offer a no-risk money back guarantee within 30 days of purchase.

Is HelmetSecure available in other finishes?

Currently, HelmetSecure Classic locks are available in a bright chrome finish or matt black finish. The Sportbike lock is available in anodized matt black.

    How does HelmetSecure work?

The HelmetSecure lock fastens your helmet to your motorcycle by means of a 15" steel cable. The Classic lock uses hidden bolts to lock securely around the motorcycle handlebar and can be customized to three standard diameters of round handlebar (7/8", 1", and 1 1/4"). The Sportbike lock uses a hidden bolt to lock around the included replacement stem nut.

For convenience, the HelmetSecure lock has been designed so that the owner will only need to work with one of the locking features (a push-down lock) once it has been attached to the motorcycle.

The cable is pre-coiled and stores securely in an integral part of the HelmetSecure locks's frame when not in use. The HelmetSecure lock is to be used only when the motorcycle is parked and locked.

Which motorcycles does the HelmetSecure lock fit?

The HelmetSecure Classic lock fits motorcycles with handlebars 7/8" and 1" and 1 1/4" in diameter including Harley Davidson, Victory, Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and many other custom, cruiser, standard and touring bikes. The Sportbike lock attaches only to bikes listed in the fitment chart.

What if I find that HelmetSecure Classic does not secure tightly around the handlebar?

Check that the handlebar is a consistent diameter at the point you are attaching it - and that the handlebar is not "tapered". The HelmetSecure lock is supplied to fit the standard handlebar sizes of 1 1/4" (without a custom rubber insert) and, using one of the supplied custom inserts, 7/8" and 1".

Should I use thread locking compound on the bolts?

Yes, we recommend you use a product such as blue Loctite and follow the manufacturer's instructions.

What materials make up the HelmetSecure lock?

The body of the Classic helmet lock is constructed out of zinc alloy, and the Sportbike lock is made of aluminum. The cable is 7x7 steel cable and the locking unit itself is principally made of steel alloy.

I have lost my HelmetSecure keys for the push-down lock - can you help me?

Yes, please call us at 415-674-8900. Additional push-down lock keys are available for $12.00 each plus shipping. You will need to provide us with the key code found on the original keys.

I need a new custom insert for the Classic lock - do you stock replacements?

Yes, just call us at 415-674-8900. Inserts are available for $12.00 each, plus shipping.

What size Allen/hex key do I need?

We include the required 3mm Allen/hex key with every lock.

I am trying to undo the HelmetSecure lock from the handlebar/stem nut but cannot unbolt all the bolts?

Check that the HelmetSecure push-down lock is unlocked. If the HelmetSecure push-down lock is in the locked position, it will prevent the bolt from being removed. If necessary, twist the lock and the handlebar so that the lower bolt drops out on its own. Another option to remove the bolt is to use a magnetized screwdriver to draw the bolt out.

Should the cable point forwards or backwards of the handlebar?

We recommend that the cable end of the HelmetSecure lock should face away from the rider.

Can I attach the Classic lock to my crashbar or other part of the motorcycle?

The HelmetSecure Classic lock was designed specifically for various sized handlebars. However, the HelmetSecure Classic lock can fit any 7/8", 1" or 1 1/4" tubing such as engine guards, crashbars, saddlebag guards and frame tubing. You must follow the installation instructions and adhere to the safety warnings. We strongly encourage that the HelmetSecure lock is attached as recommended so that it will not impair the safe use and control of the motorcycle.
